Terms of use

The fine print, written plainly

The agreement between you and Tallmark when you use the app and this website.

Draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page says how Tallmark works today, in plain words. It will be checked before the app launches, and the date at the top will change when it is.

Last updated: 31 October 2026 (draft)

Using Tallmark

Tallmark lets you keep a daily photo book on your phone, and make flipbooks, share cards and a printable photo book from it. You can use it for your own family, personal, non-commercial purposes. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

You get Tallmark from the App Store or Google Play, so their terms apply too. If those terms and these ones conflict on how the app is licensed or sold, the store’s terms win.

Your photos and pages

Everything you put in your book is yours. We don’t receive it and claim no rights to it. You’re responsible for having the right to use the photos you add, and for what you choose to share.

Tallmark Plus

Tallmark is free to download and keep. Tallmark Plus is an optional in-app purchase that adds features, sold yearly, monthly, or once for life, at the price shown in the app before you buy. Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play.

  • A yearly plan may start with a free trial. The app shows when it ends and what you’ll pay after it. Cancel before then and you aren’t charged.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings, at least a day before the renewal date. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, under their rules.
  • If Plus ends, the features it adds lock again. Nothing you made with them is taken back: saved cards, videos and books stay yours.

Keeping a copy

Your book lives on your phone. Phones get lost, broken and replaced, so please turn on backup to your own iCloud or Google Drive, or make a backup file now and then. We can’t recover a book for you, because we never have a copy of it.

What you agree not to do

  • Use Tallmark to break the law or anyone’s rights.
  • Copy, resell or redistribute the app, or try to get at its source code, except where the law allows.
  • Use the Tallmark name, mark or bird to suggest you are us, or that we endorse you.

The app is provided as it is

We work hard to make Tallmark reliable, but we can’t promise it will never have faults. To the extent the law allows, Tallmark is provided “as is”, without warranties, and we aren’t liable for lost data or indirect losses from using it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If a change matters, we’ll update this page and the date above before it applies. If you keep using Tallmark after that, the new terms apply.

Ending

You can stop using Tallmark at any time by deleting the app (make a backup first if you want to keep the book). We may stop offering the app; if we do, we’ll give notice in the app where we can, and the book on your phone and your backups stay yours.
